I am Deniz and currently doing my PhD studies in the field of homogenous catalysis. I am developing new phosphorus ligand systems and research their coordination chemistry and effects in catalysis in the near future. This project is funded by Marie-Curie and includes three parties, the ICIQ, Tarragona, Spain, the École de Polytechnique de Paris and myself, a graduate student from the Philipps-university of Marburg, Germany. I am doing the first part of my PhD in the ICIQ and have to switch after 18 month to Paris. This is quite challenging after adapting to one place having to switch to another and start anew with a completely new environment. But at the same time it´s a unique opportunity to work in different places, and experience the similarities and differences in any way, not only work related. Furthermore I hopefully will have the opportunity to participate in conferences to obtain a broader knowledge and meeting interesting people. But therefore I need first of all positive results to think about this.
